UMPA Sponsored Leadership Building Workshop:

"Meeting Facilitation and Consensus Decision Making"

with Celia Kutz

Sunday Feb. 28th, from noon to 5pm
Sacred Paths Center, 777 Raymond Ave, Saint Paul, MN 55114

WHY THIS WORKSHOP

Communication skills are invaluable in home, work, and any problem solving environment! You will learn to aid people to find the best solution, that works for the most people. Whether currently involved in an organization or not, facilitation techniques will improve your ability to make clear choices for yourself and with others in a positive way.

Improve your group dynamic, effectiveness and creativity by taking the time to expand your skills as a facilitator! Meetings do not have to be boring, routine or stressful.

Learn hands-on interactive ways to address agenda items, increase participation and group interest. We'll walk through the consensus decision making model and discover how our personal values can be reflected in our decision making process.

This is a workshop not to be missed - you and the next group you facilitate will thank you!

  • To gain tools to enhance and/or expand your facilitator skills

  • To understand the consensus decision making model

  • To build self-awareness of how you work with others

  • To have fun using a variety of learning styles

The workshop is designed as an experiential package and requires full participation; partial attendance is not allowed. Training for Change workshops are hands-on and use direct education, inviting the expertise of the people themselves. We believe in a group-centered approach, where the trainer sees themself as empowering people to discover their own expertise and that of each other.

  • 1:30-3:30 - The Individuals In the Group & Piecing the Meeting Together
