Upper Midwest Pagan Alliance Community Calendar Project
At this years TC Pagan Pride, several groups met and agreed there was a
need to have a central posting place for the many public rituals offered in
the area. The intent is to have a non-denominational place for pagans and the
public to find rituals listed, without navigating the multiple email lists or
Witchvox to get this valuable information. Pagan groups can see what else is scheduled
and join in cooperation or adjust scheduling as they may desire.
UMPA has volunteered to maintain this resource.
The
Community Public Rituals Calendar
.....is for posting open and public rituals. To add your ritual
click here
and look near the bottom of the page on the right in the list of links.
Find "Add New Entry" and click. Add your title, and a full description as
you would like it to appear. It is in your best interest to include all relevant
info, what to bring, exact address or contact email, phone, or mail address. If your ritual is public, but restricted to a subset (men, women, children, etc.), please specify any restrictions.
You can add a "hotlink' or just paste in the URL of your website and we'll make it "hot".
Then change the date select boxes to the date of your event.
Select "untimed event" and then change to either an all day event, or timed event.
If you select "timed event" options appear to set the approximate times the event will run.
Be sure the am-pm circle is correctly marked. If you have a Public Ritual that repeats weekly,
monthly, or every other month, or week, please click the question mark next to the words
"Add Entry" at top, for an explanation of how to use this feature.
Ignore the "send reminder" feature, it is disabled! Now click on "save"
and the calendar will reload in your browser. ONE LAST STEP, LOOK JUST BELOW
THE ACTUAL CALENDAR AND CLICK, "NOTIFY UMPA". Your listing has to be approved
(not for content, just for spam prevention) and an email to us will open,
and just put "calendar event" in the subject and body, and send the email
so we know you submitted something. Check back in 24-48 hours and your ritual will be listed!
The
Community Events Calendar
..... is for private,
or semi private rituals where participants can't just walk in, please use this calendar
and include contact information.
This Calendar is also for ritual
planning meetings, organization or group meetings, classes, workshops, concerts, well just about any event our community might find
of interest!
To add events there, just use the same process. If you have an event that repeats weekly,
monthly, or every other month, or week, please click the question mark next to the words
"Add Entry" at top, for an explanation of how to use this feature.
Jrob does some gleaning of email notices and posting for you, that is why your event
may be already listed. Our energy and time is limited, and if you want your event listed
for sure, and on a timely basis, PLEASE, have someone in your group post for sure,
your rituals, and get in the habit of entering all your other community events at
the same time your send email notices! This resource can then best serve us all.
